Suspected U.S. unmanned aircraft launched two missile strikes in a Pakistani tribal region along the Afghan border, killing nine people, Pakistani intelligence officials said.
The drone attacks in Pakistan have taken away hundreds of civilians lives and just a few terrorists'. This is given the name of collateral damage. Can any civil society in this world accept this much collateral damage? and still there is misconception that we Pakistanis hate Americans. We don't hate American people. We do realize general public in any country of the world is always innocent. It's the governments and their policies that make mess. It's all about international politics.
During military operation in South Wazirastan (Pakistan), most of the terrorists specially their commanders fled to Afghanistan and they actually regrouped themselves there and started attacks in Pakistan again. Is Afghanistan also not safe heaven for those who are most wanted criminals in Pakistan? No one talks about this. Pakistan itself has suffered a lot. The sacrifices of our military alone in this war is almost double to that of the collective sacrifice of NATO countries and loss of thousands of civilian lives in bomb blasts in these years is yet another story. The world really needs to understand this. These terrorists are neither muslims nor humans. They are criminals only and we need to eradicate them but this blame game can do nothing. It can only hamper our ability to fight them. We need collective efforts. If America and NATO want Pakistan to deliver more, they also need to do the same by taking action against those who take refuge in Afghanistan after fleeing from Pakistan. This is the only way I guess we can build mutual trust. If USA starts respecting our sovereignty and giving importance to our concerns believe me the grievances of our people would automatically fade away.
