Police prevented about 100 opposition activists from marching through Moscow on Sunday with a giant Russian flag and detained three of their leaders, including prominent politician Boris Nemtsov.
If I started marching down the Main Street of my hometown without first receiving the march permit, would I be detained? Certainly/ I still remember the civil disobedience protests when some of the activists were climbing the fence at the Kennedy Space Center when first nuclear fuel containing satellite was about to be launched. The "climbers" were removed by the police. So why the Nemtsov's arrest warrants such a feeding frenzy in the Western media?
He committed the act of civil disobedience, he is briefly detained, he is released… Where is the news?
