If the U.S. ever intended to help those people they could do so through medicine like Doctors Without Borders. No need for Predator drones or operatives eager to pull the trigger and then dig out incriminating evidence with their knives. Letting the tribal leaders decide whether or not to accept their presence without foreign gunslingers around. Well, it's a fantasy now, something that could have been.
