It is a good thing Netanyahu's nose is not made of wood–it would have grown by ten feet for lying. Israel is looking for an excuse to go to war–Syria, Lebanon, Iran, it does not matter. Feeling a slight bump in the "special" relationship, Israel and its American cohorts need some kind of justification for Tel Aviv's militancy and aggression. Having the largest army in the Middle East and enough bombs to destroy the entire area does not seem to be working for Netanyahu's ambitions. Having repeatedly invaded Lebanon, bombing Syria with impunity, and threatening an attack on Iran hardly qualifies Jerusalem as a beleaguered state. If Israel was really interested in reducing tensions on its northern and eastern borders, it would make peace with Lebanon and Syria. Real peace–just and comprehensive. 60 years of war apparently hasn't gotten Israel far, just maybe real peace treaties arrived by equals just may. But, what would Netanyahu then do with world's fourth largest army????

Israel has made a reputation of preemptively attacking the Arabs and is a known prevaricator, downright treacherous, hence the Arabs having left the negotiating table. “if and only if Israel honors all aspects of UN res.242 will any legitimacy be prescribed to the 1967 borders”. Little value in negotiating if one party dishonors the agreements before the ink dries. When Israel was seeking recognition for its Independence from the UN, it was already launching Plan Dalet to steal Palestinian land not within the borders enshrined UN res 181, not within the borders of ‘jewish state’ it was declaring. Israel is in violation of more UN resolutions than Saddam.
PM Erdogan has called out Israel’s duplicity, because as Erdogan was negotiating a ceasefire with Hamas, whose originally demand was for the return of the women and children imprisoned by Israel. Erdogan says Israel broke the ceasefire and deceitfully launched ‘Cast Lead’ resulting in the death and incapacitation of over 4000 Palestinians. Israel cluster bombed Gaza, wp dm, the destruction of 000s of homes, hospitals, factories, schools, UN bldgs. water treatment plant, roads etc. "Fool me once.."
