The number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan has roughly doubled in the first three months of 2010 compared to the same period last year as Washington has added tens of thousands of additional soldiers to reverse the Taliban's momentum.

Once again, Antiwar.com does not report US casualties as they occur. At the start of the Iraq war Antiwar did the same thing, refused to report most individual combat deaths and copied the corporate media. True they nut shelled them together at the end of the week at the bottom of the site. However this practice gives an incomplete picture of day to day combat particularly the escalating combat deaths and injuries. What gives? Casualty figures are readily available at the US DOD site. Certainly Antiwar does not intend to bury the escalating cost of the war.
Raimondo is critical of the small turn out at the recent ANSWER coalition rally yet he does little more than replicate the corporate media in his spotty coverage of fighting at the front. The struggle to end this shameful war can not advance by merely copying pro war reportage by AP, the NY Times, and the Washington Post. Get with it or get a more effective editor.
